I hope that the New Year is going well for you. I apologize for not sending out a newsletter the last few weeks. I’ve been back in the swing of things, racing again. I was also spending a lot of time reviewing my book “The Tick Slayer” and going through the editing process, which I told you would be a major focus of mine over the holidays. I will be speaking at the L.I.A. conference this April and the book will be finished and out by that time. The conference last year was really good and I hope that you will consider attending. You can go to http://www.lymeinducedautism.com/ for more information.
The book does contain What I Did To Beat Lyme versus What I Would Do NOW knowing what I know (as in what my ultimate overall plan would be). I think it will help a lot of people (including healthcare professionals). Of course, the ultimate in help would still be coaching as knowing someone’s medical history is quite important. Sometimes there are just tiny, but important medical issues that have to be addressed so that full healing can happen. I believe this is probably the #1 reason why most people with Lyme are so upset and aggravated with the help they are getting. Because many issues just aren’t addressed and since getting over Lyme is a total body issue, EVERYTHING has to be addressed. So sometimes going to a specialist leaves you with even more questions, because “specialists” specialize; they don’t usually look at the entire body picture.
One of the young ladies I coached starting back this past summer believes she is over her ordeal and has made the suggestion that I educate people who want to coach others who have Lyme.
It’s a flattering suggestion, but way too complicated and legally sounds like it could be trouble. Later on this year, everyone will get the full story and I will still be available for individual coaching when I can spend the time that is necessary to get the full story and make intelligent suggestions for people who need the extra help. When it comes to people’s health, it’s important to have all the facts, because someone’s medical history is very telling and it changes from person to person (however surprising though most of us, including me, have many of the same issues). Don’t be surprised! After talking to countless people, I’ve realized how much we are all alike. I will talk about this at the conference.
Detoxing Hard
My last newsletter, before Christmas, I also told you that I was going to spend some down time detoxing, while still training a little, after coming back from 3 months of high altitude training in Colorado Springs .
I stopped taking any performance supplements like Whey and Creatine, and focused on what could help me detox (gently, of course). I started pumping up my intake of Chorella (large bulk Chorella/ small bulk Chorella), taking Physillium Husks and small amounts of clay. I changed my diet slightly (less meat and more of an anti-fungal/candida-free diet). I took therauptic doses of NAC (this kind here).
*If you want suggestions for the actual products, I used please contact me at Perry@beatlyme.com
I wanted to mention this because I noticed how I became slightly fatigued and was sleeping a lot more during these few weeks. For people who are going through the detoxing (which is part of beating Lyme), don’t be discouraged. It’s easy to feel discouraged when you start to feel bad, but your body just needs down time so that the job can be done successfully. It doesn’t mean you’ll always feel bad! This is just part of the process and it IS necessary!
Ionic Foot Baths
For two weeks now I’ve been serious about using my ionic foot bath. You’ve probably heard of these. I’ve done them in the past, but never did I do a series of treatments. I know I said this newsletter would be on using these foot baths, but I hadn’t fully developed my opinion on them until this week, so that newsletter (including pics) gets even longer. The newsletter goes out next week. You will LIKE IT, so stay tuned!
Oil Pulling- Cheap, Easy Release of Toxins?
Well you may have heard of this or maybe not. I don’t have a microscope to confirm the research on this. (I’m thinking about getting one though so I can check out my own blood!)
Oil Pulling is Ayurvedic (traditional Indian) medicine. One uses oil like Sunflower, Sesame, and I’ve even heard that Coconut Oil works well, to swish around in the mouth for 10- 20 minutes. You swish hard and suck in through your teeth and mix it around with your saliva as much as possible. The oil swishing activates enzymes in your saliva which said to draw toxins out. When you’re done swishing, you spit out the oil and rinse your mouth.
You can do some research on your own, but I suggest everyone try it. It’s cheap and might be a very good way to clean out your insides. J I have not done it long enough to have an opinion, but I’ve started doing it and I told you my key to success now (post- Lyme) is to keep everything working like it should—MAINTENANCE!
REMINDER **-I truly believe that when you attack different health ailments from multiple angles, you will have great success. I am proof of that. Don’t be complacent or lazy with treating yourself and don’t let your healthcare provider be lazy either. Doing so could be detrimental to your health and keep you ill for quite some time.
Q& A
I’ve started posting questions I get every week and will start writing my answers for everyone to see. I figured if one person asks, then it’s probably a question many people have. There are two ways to post questions to me 1) post it on my blog at www.DieTickDie.com where I post all of my newsletters and 2) email me: perry@beatlyme.com
“I’ve been really wanting to get the Complete Health Kit you are always mentioning, but it’s so expensive. Why is it so expensive and do you think it’s really something I should get?”
The truth is when you have Lyme and you want to get it treated, you will be shelling out dough to do so. You can spend tens of thousands of dollars (or even hundreds of thousands as I’ve heard of people doing) and still not get the help that correcting your nutrient balance on a daily basis will provide. It’s just that simple.
When I say it’s one of the most useful and helpful day to day products I have come across, I do mean it. It’s done wonders for me and everyone who gets on it. Part of the issue with sick people is that nutrients are not balanced daily. You have a million metabolic processes going on daily that are keeping you alive and unfortunately many of us don’t have the diet to support these processes, NOR do we have access to foods that aren’t stripped of nutrients or just devoid of nutrients (usually due to farming practices and food processing practices). You have to supplement even when you’re not ill and when you are ill, it’s CRITICAL to get it right.
“Aren’t you worried about a relapse?”
No, I’m not at all. The reason why is because I’ve made sense out of every single issue that has plagued me since things went downhill with Lyme. I’ve corrected every issue and I now live in a way that is conducive to good health. If I had relapsed, it would have happened already because I’ve done the hardest training I’ve ever done in my entire life this past year and I’m now racing with no signs of illness.
I do know about relapses and what happens when this occurs is that the person who is suffering from it, hasn’t fought all the battles yet. There are multiple “battles” with Lyme. Lyme is a war, and there are lots of different battles that need to be fought. Relapses occur when someone hasn’t taken care of ALL OF THE ISSUES. A lot of doctors don’t look at all of this because they might not think they are connected, but they are. This is where the frustration comes in with most people. It’s understandable. I’ve been there. I’ve done that.
“If you put me back on the list I promise to keep my comments to myself. If you don’t, I understand… You must know that as a coach some venting is good as long as it’s not hurtful or mean like I was. Maybe this will give you some ideas for coaching in the future, you have helped me, I hope this letter helps you.”
Well this wasn’t a question, it was a comment. It’s not that I don’t want people to comment. I DO, but if anyone has anything to say to me that is not constructive, don’t say it. Just take yourself off the newsletter list. It doesn’t hurt my feelings at all. I’m quite confident in what I have to offer and what I have to say. I’m not perfect, but I know what it feels like to be sick. It’s an emotional roller coaster. My best advice to anyone is to focus on the outcome at all times. Vent by doing something that is constructive…like exercising…
I don’t coach people on the emotional stuff, but that gets worked out once someone starts feeling better. It’s so amazing for me to talk to someone who is half crazy (for obvious Lyme-related reasons) the first time I speak to them and then they sound perfectly normal the second time I speak to them. They are the same person. They are just recovering!
A good book I’ve been re-reading is: Taking Care of Me by Mary Kay Mueller. It sounds cheesy…it’s not. In fact, anyone who is in a bad spot can read the first 16 pages and should get some relief. It explains why some people fail and others succeed. It talks about mindset and how to get out of the ruts that EVERYONE gets into at some point in their life.
“How often do you write newsletters?”
Once a week, sometimes it’s once every two weeks. I write when I feel like I need to say something that would be beneficial for everyone, but also won’t get me in trouble with the FCC. I save that stuff for Lyme coaching. HA HA HA
Wishing You A Fantastic New Year!

Thanks for talking about crazy ( I am there now )
I have tried many of the treatments you discuss
It makes me feel like I am trying the right things
What about Rife machine?
Thanks for your time and support

From Perry:
“Rife” is a good strategy but you still need to build a plan around it. You cannot just blast yourself with RIFE and expect to get over Lyme fully. You need an overall plan that looks at all of your health issues, beyond Lyme and then systematically takes care of each issue. The people who have success with just “RIFE” by dialing into a specific frequency probably don’t have too many other health issues. Chronic Lyme patients have it ALL! Just something to think about.
I’m glad that you shared your experience with the Ionic Foot Baths and would like to add a few comments. I’ve done several foot baths, but had to stop because I started feeling very ill afterwards. I was told that this can be part of the detoxification process and that my body can’t handle it during this stage of my lyme treatment. It is also very important to avoid doing them after taking medications because they remove some of the medication from your body; which can be extremely dangerous for some people. I’m going to wait until I’m done with intravenous antibiotics before trying the ion foot baths again.
From Perry:
You have to replace electrolytes and minerals when you’re using a footbath. The same if you’re doing any type of treatment that PULLS out toxins. People who can’t handle a footbath, are very toxic and are depleted in various nutrients. I would actually consider them pulling out antibiotics a good thing, there are better choices than bombing yourself as a way to get over Lyme completely, but if you read my newsletter than you probably know this. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get well.
