After receiving lots of emails from people inquiring why they were not getting my newsletters and because I haven’t sent one in months, I decided it would be easier to just write and update everyone.

I apologize for not writing more. I usually write two newsletters a month on various topics such as ideology, treatments, supplements, equipment I’m using, or anything I find useful or uplifting when it comes to fighting disease.

But when I set out to put this book out there into the world, I was really serious about making it good and making sure it DID change the lives of the people who read it. I wanted to create something that I wished I had for myself when I was sick with Lyme and other autoimmune and infectious diseases.
Check out my special message to you…RIGHT HERE!

Can’t see the video? Go here: http://youtu.be/pSXBGqPBI6c

So thinking back briefly about the years I spent being sick, I wished for several things. Yes, I wished for a full recovery, but I had to compartmentalize my wants a little more. I wanted to know about others who had recovered. I wanted desperately to get some inspiration from someone who had gone through the same thing. I wanted guidance. I needed food for my soul. I needed resources; where to go, what to do, how to do it. I needed a plan. I needed answers. So getting all of that, minus finding someone who had a full recovery, took me half a decade. I did get everything I wished for, because as I became healthy (sometimes painfully slowly), I became my own inspiration. Now I’m inspired by others who are finding their way out of this disease, as I receive some of the most moving letters from people I’ve coached!

It’s been difficult to read the countless cancer books out there from survivors, because even though their stories are each unique and amazing, I felt like they still didn’t speak 100% to me, probably because it was cancer and not Lyme. Even so Lance Armstrong’s book for me as an athlete was a much needed read, because it goes into life after the struggle.

So, after agonizing over my own words in print, I’m just weeks away from allowing people to pre-order the book.

The last stages are here. I’m finalizing distribution and implementing the new website which will contain various resources (all of my pickings from what I’ve EXPERIENCED personally), articles from experts, how and where you can order the book, my new newsletter, and a forum for questions regarding the book.

I know most of you Lyme folks want the whole enchilada, so there will be my “do-over” plan that’s free to those who pre-order the book. It’s a lengthy detailed description of “if I could do it over again”, the summary of what I would do, in the correct order of treatments, supplements, “kitchen care”, diagnostics, etc. IT’S ALL IN THERE.

Why did it take me so long to get healthy? Simply put: I didn’t know what to do and I took a lot of time trying to figure out what to do. And the only reason why I’m not sick these days is because I’ve utilized all that I discovered along my journey, even though since my recovery, I’ve been bitten by infected ticks.

The purpose of The Tick Slayer is to give you hope (while providing some entertainment) and enable you take the a more direct, speedier path to recovery. Hopefully this will be a book you’ll want to pass around to your friends and loved ones.

The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.”- Socrates

Yes, I’ve been writing less frequently these days as I finalize my book, The Tick Slayer. I’ve been training quite a bit more as well since I’ve changed events and had to focus on getting out of the blocks correctly. They say it’s easier to go down in distance in track and field, then up. Well, training is “easier” but I’m employing every technique known to man to keep me from getting too tight and sore! Next year, I’m just going to keep a tub outside (in Colorado) and do polar bear plunges each day after practice.

Yesterday, I found myself in a van full of Air Force track and field cadets. It’s a long story, but the point is, I kept thinking THANK GOODNESS I’m not 20 anymore.

The last newsletter I wrote was to make sure everyone was aware of the radiation issue. I think it’s highly underreported. Just after I wrote it, some of the symptoms I was describing were things people wrote back to me saying they were noticing. Not to say the problem is still not a problem, but I’ve noticed feeling better these past few weeks.

Check this out video of someone with a Geiger meter on Grandfather Mountain. Hey, if you didn’t know, that’s where I was bitten by the tick back in 2003 that caused my entire Lyme ordeal. It’s a pretty boring video, but it makes a point. I dislike the beginning intro with the graphics. Just ignore that part. Look at the READING on this meter!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMn4o2SjzE4&feature=player_embedded

Also, if you want more understanding of the nuclear problem, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpCdCC2ox1I&feature=player_embedded#at=50

I had one person write me and tell me I had “crazy ideas.” Well, it’s not an idea, it’s a fact that radiation is a problem. We get hit up with it already, for example, when we are on airplanes, living near nuclear power plants and, of course, there are naturally occurring amounts of it on earth. This is quite different when you have a plum of radioactive particles in our upper atmosphere coming down with high winds, or if you live in high elevation like me, or when it rains or snows.

I usually get people who respond to my newsletters and I had several people write about their skin feeling like it was burning. I too felt the same way, especially after I wrote the last newsletter. I went out for a run right at dark in high winds. I came back and my face was on fire. It was not the chapped kind of fire, almost like a Niacin flush fire, if you are familiar with those. Yes, you could chalk it up to Lyme, but when people don’t have Lyme symptoms and they get burning skin, it probably is due to the fallout.

I have a friend who works in a gold mine at 11,000 feet. Again, just after I wrote the newsletter, he told me that the infirmary there was packed with miners with nose bleeds. Their healthcare person said it was due to “unseasonably dry weather.” They don’t have a Geiger meter up there, but I bet it would be off the charts. Many of those “old timers” have been working up there for decades and they aren’t going to get nose bleeds because it’s dry….especially all of them at the same time! That’s ridiculous. It’s dry up there at 11,000 feet everyday, all day. I told him to work inside as much as possible and not go out.

The things you’re already doing for your health you may have to go about even more diligently during these times.

I’ve been taking more iodine, keeping my minerals balanced, eating more foods that act as a “mop,” drinking a green drink each day (usually wheat grass), staying out of precipitation, wearing my geomag card that now has a frequency to counter radiation on it, and still employing methods of gentle detoxing.

Also, there are reports of drinking water being contaminated with high levels of radiation all over the US. I wouldn’t jump on bottle water just yet because most bottled water is just as dirty.

I would make sure you have a VERY high quality filter on your kitchen sink. A RO unit like this one is great. I have an over the counter SHELL filter, and I have one of the new frequency cards with the counter radiation frequency on it, taped to the filter. The RO unit physically removes chemicals. The frequency card then nullifies any remaining chemicals by working to nullify and render safe the frequency that these chemicals including radiation emit. It’s basic physics, but a very cheap and effective solution that doesn’t cost thousands of dollars.

As important as water is to your health and healing, you really must look at your own set up in your apartment or house and make your tap water good. Then you can buy a few stainless steel water bottles (not plastic) and take your water to work, etc. In the end, it’s way cheaper, healthier, and more environmentally friendly than buying water in plastic. I carry mine everywhere. In fact, my water tastes so darn good, that if I try to use tap or bottled water, I’m turned off by it. I’m encouraged to drink more because of how good it tastes. Perhaps that is why some people say they can’t drink water because it doesn’t have any taste. What they mean to say, is that for some reason, it just doesn’t taste good.

I’ll be in Los Angeles this weekend for my season opener. This year has been great so far. I’m healthy. I’ve avoided a number of injuries even though moving down into the sprints, with all the new training, has been a potential problem for mechanical injuries. I feel rested and excited about this year and next.

Last year, with all the excitement of being back to Track and Field, from a 5 year “forced rest” had me fading early in the season. This year is entirely different. What a difference one year can make! In fact, only within 5 months (which was the time of the decision to move down into the sprints), I’ve gain a ton of muscle and am well into the transformation from miler to sprinter. I found a lot of success doing the opposite of what other people think is right for me. If it feels right……just do it!

My intent is to baffle EVERYONE, but the #1 reason is because it’s for me. I just have to see what I’m capable of doing. I would be doing this even if I didn’t get sick, but having been so deathly ill for so long is just like putting a huge FIRE under my butt.

It just goes to show you that time can be your friend and is always a factor in healing or ANY KIND of body transformation.

I’ll be posting news at www.TheTickSlayer.com (once the new website is up) and also on my brand new author fan page below. If you can’t see the block below, just go to http://www.facebook.com/tickslayer

It is time for action! The “Lyme ” Bill, if you will, has been passed by both the Health & Human Services Committee (Senate) and the Public Health Committee (House)! This is exciting news! You guys have done a fantastic job of calling, writing, emailing and faxing all of our Senators and Representatives.

But we are not finished yet! The Bill is now sitting in the hands of the Calendar Committee who will decide when and if the Bill goes on to the Senate and the House floor. It is time to start calling your district’s Senators and Representatives to ask them to say, “yes” to this Bill.
Japanese Nuke Fallout- Things To Do At Home

Well, it’s been exciting to see the votes for the cover of my new book, The Tick Slayer. The results are just what I predicted…all over the place! The voting is still going on here:

www.TheTickSlayer.com/vote

Here are a few comments I have gotten and my answers:

Comment: book cover 9 shows you racing away and leaving the meds and disease behind. Illustrates the fact that 1) you’ve beat it and 2) you”re leaving it behind you. The other covers show you still connected to the disease somehow.

Answer: I’m kind of surprised so many people like this cover. I understand that it’s the symbolism behind it that people like. As far as being “connected” to the disease, I’ll always be connected to it. Even though I’ve recovered fully, I will never be able to forget what I went through, just like so many others.

Comment: I voted for number 4 because I think it has the most visual appeal, you look great and it’s a strong picture….looks like you mean business and I think it will attract everyone’s eye, it’s interesting. Picture number 9 was my second choice because the meaning is you’ve overcome it and now leave that IV bag or treatment behind (at least to me) and you are back on the track to normal life and a success! So I like the message number 9 sends. So, they are both good choices for various reasons

Answer: The bag is actually to be colored in a slightly yellowish hue to depict Vitamin C and my shoes are to be turned into a “Lyme” green color. People were confused about the bag because so many people take abx (oral or through IV). I had a number of people say, “I thought you didn’t use IV abx,” and the answer is, “I didn’t.” I did, however, use nutritional IVs and I am a HUGE proponent of the use of them. But, when it comes down to it, if you visit your local bookstore you’ll see competition is fierce and the only way to get my message out there about Lyme and what I had to do to get over it, is to STICK OUT. The cover has to be as provoking as possible. Even though the book is geared towards those who have Lyme disease, it’s actually a great read (filled with HOW-TO information) for anyone who has an autoimmune disorder. So I have to get the attention of not only the Lyme folks, but everyone else (the general population). It helps further the cause this way.

Even though inside my book there is clear message of what I did and how I did it, I think it might be good to have some confusion at first glance, because after all, there seems to be a lot of confusion on what to do about Lyme disease! That was the entire point of writing the book in the first place, but the second reason is to educate people on options and get people to understand the possibilities. Far too many people think there’s no hope. It’s a horrible state of mind to be in and it’s easy to slip into that when you don’t feel well. It’s a VERY POSITIVE book.

If you haven’t voted yet, go now: Vote on the cover!

(*Get your friends to vote, forward them this email.)

Japanese Nuke Fallout- Things To Do At Home

I should probably begin this header with: TOUCHDOWN!……I’m not sure why the problem isn’t being reported more, but if you take a look at this link, there is a man describing what you can already see on weather websites, which is the material from the fallout blowing over the U.S. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIzaBq5AGFU

The reason why I think it’s unreported is because the same reason why our own government is spraying particulates into the atmosphere and still leaving people guessing at what they are actually doing. So there is continued speculation about it, but the point is that if these so called “chemtrails” are supposedly slowly poisoning us, who cares about a little cesium. That’s probably their take on it.

If you are one of the people who believe by observation and current laws, that there is an overall assault on the health of most people everywhere, by people who think our world is overpopulated, you can understand that a moderate amounts of cesium high up in the atmosphere doesn’t really matter.

I personally believe in the opposite and as far as my stance on overpopulation, I think we should work hard to keep everyone SUPER healthy so we can start sending people to live in space and venture OUT for the survival of the human race if we screw up on earth. That is again left to debate, for humans MAY exist on other “earths” in the cosmos (Yes, this is actually very possible.).

The problem is that there are fallout issues with our health. Right now, nobody knows the damage the Japanese nuke plants will cause to their own people, not to mention other people in the world. There is a reason why people are buying Potassium Iodine and it’s selling out in places. There are plenty of people who have lived through these disasters who know how bad it really is (especially Europeans- think Chernobyl ).

I live in Colorado (which is not the hardest hit area thus far), but I can tell you that I have had a headache all week (and have spoken to many others who have had headaches as well). And while this could be for a number of reasons, I can also say that I only get headaches these days if I’m not hydrated (because I’m at altitude training). Staying hydrated has not made the headaches go away. I’m hoping this goes away.

Some indicators of being exposed to moderate levels of CESIUM 137 are: headaches, flu like symptoms, nausea, and even vomiting. Some people who are already sick may already be having these symptoms due to their previous conditions, but people like me, really shouldn’t be suffering from unexplained headaches. So I have my suspicions from where it’s coming from.

Anyway, my two cents (two sense) is this, it’s not going to kill you if you live in the U.S., however, if you’re sick (and this newsletter is for people who are fighting illnesses), there could be some negative effects. Things to do:

Don’t go out when it rains or snows (because that precip will be contaminated).

Keep your pets inside when it rains or snows, even then just be aware that radioactive material STAYS in the ground.

Make sure your iodine levels are solid.

Take potassium

Take specific nutrients which allow your body to cope and detox such harmful particulates

Chemtrails are supposed to be predominantly nano particles of aluminum, barium, etc. Spraying is thought to increase the intensity of electromagnetic smog. What this means is that on a cellular level, it has no good HEALTH inducing effects. It’s the opposite and obviously this can be a very lengthy topic of conversation.

Just to let everyone know, I do everything above except eating Kelp. I’ve just been lazy going to the store to get some.

Whew! I’m taking a quick breather to write and update you on my whereabouts and the reason why I haven’t sent out a newsletter to you in quite a while. It’s been almost two months.

The truth is with the pending publishing of my new book, The Tick Slayer, having people ask me daily where the book is, and knowing that my outdoor racing season is coming soon (not to mention the Olympics next year), I am doing a full court press for the release of this book. Also being a first time book author and having to deal with decisions about publishing companies, book agents, designers, etc. I’ve been a bit overwhelmed.

….Now since my name is on it and with the entire legal issue of writing about what I did medically, I’ve had to rethink (more than several times) if I really wanted to say the things I was saying…The conclusion is: Yes, I totally do and wild horses won’t stop me! Forgive me if I had to ponder for a bit because it’s going to be controversial. When you take an athlete who is chronically ill and she goes all renegade on the medical system and experiments until she gets a full recovery, you KNOW it’s going to be controversial.

There will be a few haters but lots of lovers. However I have to prepare myself for both…and I realize that I’ll be training and racing during the book release and the promotion of it. It’s important for me not “to let anything get under my skin.” Pun intended.

I’m a straight shooter in the book and we all know that FACT can often be stranger than FICTION. Well, it’s true. I actually had to cut some parts (maybe for a later book) that were perhaps too gritty. My thoughts were Lyme folks understand the grit, but the masses may not. So I’ll save it for later.

Plus it has all the medical jargon for those who want every detail, there is a really FAT appendix, including some great guest experts giving their two cents on my recovery, and……..drumroll…………my Tick Slayer protocol is in the back of the book.

It’s a summary of a “do over” if I had to do it all over again. Planning the approach to recovery is KEY. I believe the ORDER in which you do things can be more important than the actual treatments. I tell people this a lot. I’ve spent a long time getting to that conclusion.

I realize that many people are going through what I went through right this very moment, and the idea was to get this book out there so that people can recover quicker, move on with their lives and hopefully keep their friends and family from going through the same hell….Obviously this will provide a huge amount of relief.

YES, you can have a full recovery from something so devastating. Just don’t be surprised when you read about how sick I was, because I don’t think many people really believed it…Now they will. Now you’ll know for sure that I DO UNDERSTAND YOU completely.

So along with the book, I will also continue my newsletter, but I will probably write less for BeatLyme.com and write mostly for The Tick Slayer newsletter (Get it here at: http://thetickslayer.com/free-newsletter). With this new newsletter I will be updating people and writing about more of my thoughts on recoveries (not just from Lyme, but also from other autoimmune diseases that are often triggered by Lyme or vice versa). You may not know this, but I did have a positive Lupus panel as well.

There is a redesign of the current TheTickSlayer.com website that will match the photo of the book cover, but for now, you can still get the newsletter on the website. Just mosey on over there and make sure you’re signed up.

But before you go over there, I need your help.

I want you to help me decide what the cover should look like. The book is written with you in mind, so I’d like for YOU to tell me what you like. There is a quick poll including photos of mock up cover designs. All you have to do is mark the one you like best.

You can continue with this newsletter by signing up on the same page for The Tick Slayer newsletter (You’ll also get a discount on the book when it comes out!).

…As Charlie Sheen would say, “WINNING!”

Post remove due to “liability” reasons.

Just spoke with GT from Synergy Komboucha, the tea that I believe got me sick. He apologized for my “negative reaction” and wanted me to remove this post on my blog due to “liability reasons.” At first they just wanted me to make a retraction and now it needs to be removed. I took it down.

So this is my free speech about my phone call:

He said it was close to impossible to get Botulism from Komboucha and basically downplayed my illness to a “negative reaction.” Just about any food that is processed and canned or bottled has that potential risk. I went to college for Packaging Science (which we had to study food science), so he’s not talking to the average Joe about it. I can say I was very angry for downplaying what I experienced and what my friend experienced, but I’m sure he had to do that to protect his company. Getting ready to pass out in your own house when no one’s home is big deal. If it just happened to me, I would not necessarily think it was the tea ( I would just be suspicious), but the exact same scenario played out with my friend 5 days earlier. He had bought two drinks at the same time and consumed his right before bed, falling ill about two hours later. I had consumed mine 5 days later, right before bed, I fell ill about 5 hours later. On both days we had home cooked meals (all day long) and nothing else came from a can or bottle. It was veggies, rice and meat (which I prepared). We only fell ill after drinking the teas, both nights, 5 days a part, eating different but all home cooked meals during both of those days. The only thing that ties us together are the drinks, that were both purchased at the exact same time.

Because I didn’t go to the ER and I didn’t have the bottles tested (I got sick on Sunday night and was so ill that I didn’t even realize my trash had gone out on Tuesday…I obviously was not thinking about anything other than being sick and taking care of myself), I don’t have a case. I know that it was obviously a mistake. I don’t hold anyone liable for it. I’m sorry it happened. It could of been a packaging malfunction (which I know all too well about). I’m not like the lady who sued McDonalds for hot coffee! I’m not that pathetic.

But what really gets me is telling me that I need to remove my post about it. I am not supposed to say “for sure” I had Botulism but I will tell you right now I do believe that is what I had. Legally, I should be able to say that.

This blog is for people who are sick with Lyme and I wrote about it because if someone had Lyme and went through what I went through, they WOULD be in the hospital for a while. Everyone knows who reads this blog that I’ve worked very hard on getting myself back from Lyme disease and I am an EXTREMELY healthy person these days. My defenses are high. They also know that I hate hospitals. People get staph in hospitals. People get all kinds of problems going to hospitals. So while they can save your life, I’m not going unless I think I’m going to die really quickly. I had my cell phone ready to call 911, so the severity of the situation was very real. Had I not plunked myself in ice cold water at the last minute and pulled myself out of what was a sure pass out, had that not worked, I would of been in the ER. I know what toxins feel like (neurotoxins). I know what food poisoning feels like. This was one of the worst and scariest food poisoning episodes I’ve ever had.

Someone who is sick cannot afford getting ill like this because it would manifest worse in someone whose immune system is already defenseless. That was the reason I wrote this post in the first place. It’s just a warning to watch what you eat, especially when you’re ill.

You can google Botulism and Komboucha tea and make your own mind up. For me, I WILL NOT BE DRINKING KOMBOUCHA TEA (from any brand) because I don’t know exactly what happened to the two teas that we purchased. I can’t say it was from the formula, from the package, from the delivery, etc. The worst part is, I didn’t really get any answers from Synergy either about what it could of been. Stalemate.

Sometimes Old Cooties Can Come Back

The reason why I wanted to write about it is because when it comes to Lyme recovery, things that you may have gotten years ago sometimes come into play. My suspicion is that if you’ve traveled to other countries and have gotten food poisoning or even contracted it in this country you may have some of those pathogens still lingering. They are boogers to get rid of.

After a few days from the illness, I was still vomiting every few hours and had a tough time getting anything down. I worked hard on getting apple cider vinegar to stay down to beat back the infection and even drinking lemon juice as it can alkalize the acid from vomiting. The key was to keep drinking because in the days following (up to 10 days to be exact), I was still clearing my stomach…meaning forcing myself to puke when I felt distress in my stomach. Clearing out your stomach is not the nicest thing to talk about however, it’s better to get toxins out than to have them go through your digestive system. Even veterinarians force animals that have been poisoned to puke…usually by giving them hydrogen peroxide and even charcoal to absorb what can’t be vomited out.

Four Thieves Formula- Used During The Plague

The biggest help thus far was taking Nostradamus’s Four Thieves formula that he used to keep himself from getting Black Death (The Plague). Over the years many people have used the formula to create new formulas to combat pathogens of various natures. Anyone can make the formula as it’s basically a number of highly antimicrobial essential oils dissolved into vinegar.

The “kill” rate of these oils have been studied against the most common bacteria and fungi, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus haemolticus, Pneumococcus spec., Candida albicans, etc. It’s significant.

I don’t have time to make my own formula as most people don’t. However, there is a great formula out there that I’ve been currently taking and WILL continue to take until the bottle runs dry, which is Potent Protection by woman named Ingrid.

Potent Protection- 4oz

Here are her exact words,

“When first formulating my “Thieves” recipe, I was influenced by Nostradamus and the accounts of his successful treatments of the Plague using rose petals and essential oils. However, I wanted to create something uniquely potent that also tastes good. Having studied essential oils and their antimicrobial properties, I was fairly convinced that many oils are stronger than any other form of medicine but a few oils stand out as “phenomenal” rather than acceptable. Wild oregano oil is one of these. The best quality usually comes from Turkey and a single drop of therapeutic grade oil is often enough, certainly all that is required, for one to three days.

Another fascinating herb is black cumin, usually sourced from Egypt or grown to specifications in another region but using Egyptian standards to obtain the highest possible medicinal value. Black cumin was found in the tomb of King Tutankhamen and was touted by Discord’s as well as the Prophet Mohammed. It’s a very good stomachic and carminative, but when combined with garlic, it is believed to have a significant immune action that restores harmony.

So, while the journey started in France and the northern shores of the Mediterranean, it quickly took me around the entire Sea. Moreover, having recently returned from Europe where I had seen blood parasites in nearly every patient as well as the staff of the clinics, I felt compelled to use some antiparasitic herbs, not the two artemisias in Dr. Valnet’s formula but rather two more common herbs that have their own stories: black walnut and Artemisia annua or Sweet Annie. In Germany and France, I had found a number of artisan-type herbal beverages made with black walnut and was pleased with the taste and usefulness. Where Artemisia annua is concerned, there are traditional uses in China as well as some recent studies pointing to its value in relieving certain types of cancer. Basically, Artemisia annua is the most famous antimalarial herb in the world, but malaria is probably only one of many diseases spread by insect bites. There is certainly nothing to suggest that the herb might not be helpful with other conditions having a similar mode of infection.

Over the three years that I was pulling together this formula, I collected over 300 pages of documentation on the herbs used, but I still wanted to make the formula go to work quickly and for people to be able to hold it down well. For this reason, spices were added. The process used is proprietary and believe me, it’s a bit more complicated than the recipes I have included in this little pdf, but my lab has sourced the ingredients and made it to my specifications so you don’t have to join a camel caravan to find your own herbs.”

Ingrid is one of those women who studies in lots of areas and is fascinated by everything. Her real love is essential oils.

 Try Potent Protection Here

The formula should do wonders for anyone WITH or WITHOUT food poisoning. In fact, since the oils used in her formula are so potent, I suggest making this part of everyone’s Lyme recovery, because as we all know, when addressing chronic conditions of Lyme, there is a lot to treat that is hiding under the surface. Whether it’s been tested for or not, it’s there!

As for me, I’m going to finish up the bottle (all 4 oz, which is a lot to go through) and then evaluate my condition in about a month as I continue to train and race. So far, I’m doing just fine now.

How To Gauge Your Recovery Success- The Scoop On Oils

Recovery is still a big issue for me, even long after my personal Lyme ordeal. For athletes it is the key to winning, so naturally I’ve had to make it my business to know everything I can about it.

Just recently I acquired a new coach. Her name is Sandra Khannouchi, the wife and coach of Khalid Khannouchi, the marathon world record holder. She just so happened to move Colorado Springs to start a new training group. I don’t run anywhere near the marathon distance, although when I get much older, it could be in my future. Sandra is a great coach and was a former distance running star herself. She has been an agent, coach and athlete for a very long time.

She has brought to my attention several new ideas about recovery and cell renewal I wanted to share. One is the use of amino acid IVs a few times a month and also the use of an amino acid product that you can’t get in the U.S. that Europeans and also many American sprinters use. This is nothing illegal as I have never worked with coaches who are tied to drug scandals. For example, I love the use of DHEA and think it’s great for many people (for those 30 and older); however, I can’t take it because it’s on the banned substance list. Once I start using these amino acid supplements and IVs, I will start writing about my experience with them because I think it could be very useful for you to use in your recovery.

When an athlete uses banned drugs, it’s not what makes the athlete all of a sudden run fast or have a personal best. Athletes use banned drugs so they can recover quicker, because that means they can train MORE! Let’s say a typical athlete can train hard 2-3 days out of the week, where an athlete who uses drugs (usually hormones) may be able to train hard 4-5 days out of the week. The key to performance is recovery so that one can train with less injuries, train more and can respond to stress better.

Just like someone who is beating an illness, you should be measuring your recovery in your number of good days, how you respond to stress and how susceptible you are to other illnesses. These are all indicators.

I coached a fella about 6-8 months ago and never really heard back from him. When I help people plan their recoveries from autoimmune diseases, I like for them to keep in contact and write me often about their issues so I can continue to help. Then I heard back from him just recently and his response about his recovery was that he was doing well until he met up with his father (an obvious life long stressor for him) and he became suddenly extremely ill.

Well, with a little digging, I realized he didn’t really take all of my suggestions, which I can’t police. His recovery wasn’t solid enough and his encounter with his father took him into a nose dive. During our coaching we talked about how to address emotional stressors. Believe me, most people have them.

Full recoveries involve emotional and physical healing for most people. To heal, you have to know how to remove the emotional and physical stressors that are down to the cellular level. Every entity of your body (blood, cells, tissues) has intelligence. OUT with the bad, IN with the good.

Many people who have chronic Lyme and are on the road to recovery know this, but I’m always surprised at how many people don’t. I guess it’s just hard to find medical help that addresses it all and the experts who have the knowledge to address all these issues with an open mind, of course.

Generally Regarded As Safe- ESSENTIAL OILS

I’m a big fan of using plant essential oils to beat infections naturally. They DO work when they are used at the appropriate time and in the appropriate amounts. They are more potent than herbal teas, capsules, elixirs, tablets and tinctures.

What makes an herb different from a drug is very important. Herbs are natural nutrients for the tissues of the body, including the all important white blood cells. Drugs are manufactured to be used against disease, always resulting in collateral damage, like traces of birth control and other antibiotics in our drinking water, the damage that occurs to people who try to fix one problem and cause another.

Oils can be just as useful as antibiotics in acute health crises. It’s not that I’m against antibiotics, I’m just against how they are administered. So many medical professionals so quickly whipping out the prescription pad as if they weren’t taught any tricks- that’s what I call a one trick pony. It’s one of the biggest problems in the Lyme community and the reason why there are far too many people still suffering.

The FDA has a list of items that are “generally recognized as safe.” The section applying to essential oils is Sec. 582.20. Generally recognized as safe means that the oils are used as food additives, usually for purposes of flavor or antimicrobial action, but sometimes for their antioxidant properties.

The amount used in medical aromatherapy is usually one drop and sometimes not even one drop daily. If using oils internally, you need to check the most reliable guidelines for use. Exceeding recommendations can be potentially dangerous since the oils are concentrated. When diffusing oils, strong diffusers should be run 3-5 minutes at a time.

The great thing to remember about plant oils, is that there is almost always an oil(s) that can be beneficial to you, as certain plants contain certain properties and frequency vibrations advantageous to different ailments.

Well, if there was one huge thing I learned during my recovery from Lyme, it was was how important it is to supplement. It boggles my mind that the FDA says that supplements can’t cure disease or improve conditions. Or course, I don’t really believe anything the FDA comes out with anyway. It’s best for me to just do my own research and make up my own mind.

If the FDA believes that supplements can’t cure disease, I guess they believe that diseases can’t be reversed or that somehow being deficient in essential vitamins and minerals doesn’t lead to disease. I thought that is why they were called “essential.”

My point is that I took a LOT of products, supplements, herbs, tinctures, and pills when I was sick. Had I not gotten on the supplements, I’m sure I would not have recovered. Yes, I know everyone is confused as heck trying to figure out what to take and when to take it. Timing is important, but getting it in is the MOST important thing to remember. I find most people just aren’t taking enough and the ones who are taking enough are taking the wrong things.

Having The Right Foundation Is Key To Recovery

When people first find out they have Lyme and I was no different, they go straight to the hard core stuff. You want to take the abx and get on the Lyme killing protocols. I think for someone with an acute case and not chronic, this could be a good idea. But most people find out they have Lyme find out months later and sometimes years after they have first been exposed. So they do indeed have a chronic illness.

The people who go straight for the kill often get upset because the “cleanup” just doesn’t go as well as they anticipated or perhaps they go in circles. Feeling better and then feeling worse…..over and over again.

The problem is that everyone who has chronic Lyme disease is severely deficient in one thing or another. So how is taking antimicrobials and abx going to help you get out of the hole you got yourself into? It doesn’t, because essential nutrients are MISSING and need to be built up again. Essential nutrients are what keep the processes in the body going.

Two things every Lyme person has:

1) Depletion of some sort (usually many)

2) Toxicity

Three things need to happen when you become ill and you need more nutrients:

1) You need to eat EXTREMELY well, like your life depends on it, which it does

2) You need to JUICE seasonal organic vegetables (for instance, now is a good time of the year to juice spinach and other cruciferous veggies)- Get a juicer!

3) You HAVE TO SUPPLEMENT

I wish eating well just by itself could give your body what it needs, but it often doesn’t these days. It’s best to get your nutrients from food and follow up for anything missing with supplements. And in the case of people who have severe symptoms, supplementing hard is CRUCIAL to recovery. It takes a long time for most people to get into the chronic illness state, years of depletion, so it takes time for the build up to occur and to remove all symptoms. I am a nice example of this.

I Recovered From Arthritis In My Knees

When I moved to Colorado in October of last year to start training again (from a 5 year break due to Lyme disease) and when running in the cold and then getting into a heated car, it made my knees ache badly. I knew this was a symptom of arthritis and it scared me! I still had lingering inflammation and that bothered me also. So this past year, I just kept going on with my “maintenance” which is basically detoxing every now and then for specific organs (usually when I’m not in racing or training periods) and supplementing to keep rebuilding. The only way to keep Lyme and other illnesses from coming back is to make sure your body gets everything it wants.

This year in Colorado we have had some very cold days and I’ve been running in them with ski mask and gloves and I have noticed already that my knees are not hurting (even when I go from cold to hot quickly), which means I’ve basically reversed “arthritis.” It doesn’t mean I’m going to stop doing what I’m doing either, but many people think that arthritis cannot be reversed and in some instances perhaps it can’t, but after seeing myself and other people make great comebacks from serious symptoms, I believe anything can happen. You just have to go into it like YOU know you are going to recover fully and commit to the idea. *I will devote a newsletter to arthritis in the future.

Hard Physical Training is like Recovering From Lyme

So I stated above that one of the biggest issues while being ill is the need to supplement and take this seriously. I see it as a primary responsibility. I know that if I don’t supplement well, I will not be able to train and I will race like crap. Looking back at my racing history, I realize that before I was sick with Lyme, I was not doing enough to keep myself healthy while beating my body down so hard. It’s just like being sick with Lyme, if you are finding it hard to recover, you may not be taking in the appropriate amount of nutrients to keep your body balanced while it FIGHTS. Without the right support, your body will not recover. It will stay in limbo! And I’m sure you’ve heard of how many people with autoimmune diseases are in limbo.

For example: Your doctor puts you on three different antibiotics to “beat” lyme and some co-infections. He/She then tells you to take a good probiotic and a couple of different vitamins like B, C, E and D.

….I can already tell you that it ISN’T enough to combat your depleted state and to also combat the damage that taking those pharmaceuticals will do. Why not use them as a last resort? Especially when there are so many good alternatives, even for nasty infections?

I’ve been in limbo before and even these days will have a few “limbo” days from hard training. The only way out is rest and supplementing hard to rebuild. It is the ONLY way. In the past, I just wasn’t doing enough, and correcting the problem is why I can run like a maniac now.

The Basics (MY VERY STRONG SUGGESTIONS)

Most of my maintenance now includes what I call “the basics.” Sure there are specific supplements that are needed for individuals with specific symptoms and health issues. But before anyone gets all carried away with the herbs, tinctures, antimicrobials, etc. you must consider getting your fundamentals right. LOADS of symptoms from Lyme can be reversed when you get the basics down and rebuild from there.

These are the basics and these are what I take daily to keep myself out of the hole.

Omega 3-6-9 oils (2-4 a day)- Fish oils should come from small fish like sardines. I also like taking a good flax oil. I don’t have a preference on brands and there are MANY good brands to pick from.

Aloe Oil (2-3 day)- aloe oil is rich in fatty acids! Great for repairing the gut, detoxifying the respiratory system and other organs. There is only one aloe oil product that I know of. Get your aloe oil right here.

Aloe Juice (1-2 tablespoons a day) - good high quality aloe juice is polysaccharide rich and contains loads of natural enzymes. This is the top notch stuff. I have tried many kinds but none can compare to anything as effective (as of yet) to this aloe juice right here.

Beta Glucan – (2 a day) – I go on and off of this depending on severity of training and the need to pump up my immune system. I like Defense here because of the other synergistic components like cumin and allicin (the powerhouse of garlic). I think it’s very potent and many people who have had low CD 57 testing have reported a very good increase using this Beta Glucan here.

Mineral Kit- (contains the six essential minerals, go through kit once a day)- my minerals are presently balanced, the kit is designed so that each person uses their sense of taste to get the correct amount of the six essential minerals in. When I first got the kit (while ill), I was doubling my intake until I achieved a balance and it took months to do so! I could go on forever about the importance of taking superior minerals, but you can do the research. There is only one taste sensitive mineral brand for this- Taste Sensitive Minerals

Vitamin Kit (contains the 20 essential vitamins, go through it once a day)- you only replace what you use up. Using smell you can detect which vitamins you are low in. Currently I’m balanced in my kit on everything except Vitamin D and Iron. These are two nutrients I use up a lot. If the D smells good, I take 5-10,000 IUs that very moment. If the iron in the kit smells good, I take it and also take a nano juice form of iron. When I first got the kit (years ago), everything smelled wonderful and even though I was taking all kinds of supplements previously, it still took a long time to rebuild and correct my levels! These are patented and are invaluable- Smell Sensitive Vitamins

Electrolytes are so fundamental and paramount to good health. Do not be fooled by thinking you’re balancing your electrolytes by drinking sports drinks or fizzy packets. Sugar will cancel the electrical potential of electrolytes and everyone who is ill (with disease) will go IN and OUT of balance the entire time they are ill, usually staying out of balance a lot. Electrolytes get imbalanced in healthy people as well for lots of reasons (from medications to exercise to stress, etc). Having the right cellular homeostasis means you DETOX on a cellular level. Electrolytes regulate the electric charge and flow of water molecules across the cell membrane. It’s what keeps the waste moving OUT! Medical issues need medical grade products, take medical grade electrolytes!

Iodine- I have a skin test done once a week to see if I’m deficient. I have it checked due to a hypothyroid condition in the past. I also take it more frequently during times of travel when I’m exposed to more radiation (like being on airplanes). Lugol’s and Iodoral, together pack the biggest punch.

Metabolic Enzymes (1-2 tablespoons a day)- I know fibrin accumulates when the body is under stress. Lyme is a stressor, not just an infection. Fibrin can kill you. I took this while I was recovering and I will continue to take it, for the sole reason of oxygenating my blood and helping me break down the foods I eat properly. My pick, hands down are these Metabolic Enzymes here.

Probiotics – (taken via enema) once a week for pure maintenance. I know a strong gut is the key to a healthy immune system, so I still make sure that I get loads of healthy microflora in once a week. I open up 4-5 caps of Native Flora that gives me 25 billion of a diverse group of bacteria strains (which can grow to tenfold, once in the colon). Strong stuff!

Just recently I had a sit down with my new coach to go over my training and racing for this upcoming year. We talked about amino acids (which will probably be another newsletter) and she commented on how athletes will often take amino acid IVs for recovery and that I will probably be doing this as well after certain track days. She went through my supplements and said “this is good stuff!”

I do have a loaded cabinet of everything from NAC to Chorella, PH balancing products to MSM and more. I play around with everything and go through rounds of taking specific supplements, but do not stay on anything other than the basics above. For example, I’ve been taking several adaptogens since I’m training hard again and don’t want an adrenal crash. I love Siberian Ginseng and just recently have been taking a product that contains several kinds of adapotagenic herbs, the results have been VERY, VERY good. I also plan on trying out Royal Maca in the near future, but while all these products are great, I probably wouldn’t have so much luck with them, if my butt wasn’t already covered on the basics.

Just like with a house, you have to build a solid foundation first.

This week I got a new editor to finally see the book through to the end. Everything is coming together. The biggest problem I’ve had is finding the right help. Since it’s my first book (and not my last, despite all of the setbacks), it was very hard to find the right people.

I’ve been very determined in getting on with this publication because I know the impact that the story will have on people. It’s EXTREMELY important to anyone with autoimmune illness. It’s about triumph and everything I’ve learned about health through years of research (mad scientists, “mountain doctors,” etc.). So I’ve been pushing hard to make it happen and to move on with my life. After this, I actually want to use my background in art and write children’s books…. in addition to my revived track career.

The website: www.TheTickSlayer.com is being finished as well. You can see on the website there will be a resource section, sponsor section, forum for people to discuss issues from the book, etc. I’m making it THE website I wish I’d found when I was sick. Once I’m done with all of this, I want to look back and honestly feel like I gave everyone, everything it takes to get over all kinds of autoimmune issues and be satisfied enough with it so I can go and move on to something else!

People who are signed up for the book’s early release will get a special on the book and I will probably have a few contests where you can win products that I use, etc.

I usually don’t write a newsletter unless I’m inspired to write about something I feel is important. My last newsletter was VERY important, touching on an important recovery issue for people with Lyme disease. It was about Metabolic Enzymes and their importance in beating all kinds of disorders.

Read about it here: http://dietickdie.com/metabolic-enzymes-very-imporant-in-my-recovery/

Now the second type of enzyme I need to write about is FOOD enzymes. This is what most people think of when they think of enzymes. Enzymes are found naturally in the foods we eat. They are proteins produced by living organisms and are used as catalysts for chemical reactions in our bodies. Without the proper enzymes, many reactions cannot occur in the body.

What do enzymes do?

Enzymes are used in ALL chemical reactions in living things. These include respiration, photosynthesis, movement growth, getting rid of toxic chemicals in the liver and so on. They are found inside and outside our cells.

There are several different enzymes that work within the human body. There are three categories of enzymes: metabolic, digestive and those found in raw fruits and vegetables. Enzymes function by acting as catalysts for chemical reactions in the body, making them function in the best possible manner. Different cells require different enzymes in order to function properly.

What are food/digestive enzymes?

Enzymes that are found within the digestive system aid in the breakdown of food and absorption of nutrients from food.

How do enzymes help us beat disorders?

It is a known fact that fungal forms, parasites, and bacteria are made up of protein and the shell that protects a virus in our bodies is, in fact, a protein coating.

The enzyme protease breaks down proteins and since the invaders of our blood system are protein, ingesting protease (just one type of enzyme) would help rid the blood of invaders.

Enzymes in general deliver nutrients, carry away toxic wastes, digest food, purify the blood, deliver hormones by feeding and fortifying the endocrine system, balance cholesterol and triglyceride levels, feed the brain and cause no harm to the body. All of these factors contribute to the strengthening of the immune system.

Many people with Lyme speak of having painful gallbladders; some say that they have had to get their gallbladder removed. Lipase is a type of enzyme that breaks down and digests fat. Taking lipase can take the stress off the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas.

Many people who are sick also have issues with weight gain or loss. The endocrine system is our metabolism. Once we are able to fortify the endocrine system, get the bowels working regularly, and digest our food rather than turning it into fat, we have a successful combination for losing weight. Enzymes do speed up these processes, which is important for recovering from illnesses of varying natures.

The hypothalamus directs our endocrine system and is also responsible for balancing emotions. Ever feel like you’re going crazy because you’re sick? Your body needs glucose from the liver to support the hypothalamus. Nutrients can only be delivered throughout the body by means of enzyme delivery, so this directly affects your ability to think clearly!

Another factor, probably less important to people who are ill, is that enzymes keep your skin looking healthy. Enzymes will fight the aging process by increasing blood supply.

What destroys enzymes?

Enzymes are a vital component of the digestive process, essential to the body’s absorption and full use of food. As we age we see the decline in our ability to breakdown food enzymatically. Raw foods provide essential enzymes. However, most processed foods have little of the critical enzymes left in them. Raw foods will have more enzyme activity than cooked food, because cooking destroys enzymes. Besides processed foods and cooking, heat from illness (due to fever), from exercising really hard, and/or getting into saunas, all decrease enzymes in the body. Enzymes are very easy to destroy and heat and pH in the body are usually what destroys them. Illness and stress also deplete enzymes! That’s why supplementing with enzymes is important.

When there aren’t enough enzymes, your body must use enzymes from your liver and pancreas, a physically demanding task. Eventually there will be a deficiency, which will inhibit your ability to effectively absorb the nutrients in the food you eat and the supplements you take.

Therefore deficiencies in metabolic enzymes, due to the need to provide digestive enzymes, can lead to impaired health. This can have a tremendous impact on health.

How to get more enzymes

Natural enzymes can be found in foods such as papaya, avocado, grapes, kiwi, banana, pineapple, mangos, dates, raw honey, extra virgin olive oil, and other unrefined oils and sprouts. Enzymes can also be found in non-processed (cooked) dairy foods and raw fish.

Steaming foods, instead of cooking them too much, can increase the enzymes you get from your food.

Taking a good enzyme supplement is very helpful.

Who needs enzymes?

I think anyone who is ill should take enzymes. Not everyone is going to have symptoms of having low enzymes and be able to directly correlate those systems to an enzyme problem. Enzymes just control too much!

Enzymes are also effective as treatment for people who have heartburn and issues with their digestive system, generally speaking.

Tips on using enzymes

**Enzymes are basically composed of amino acids. The co-factors are responsible for synthesizing the amino acids into the essential enzymes. Co-factors are usually minerals such as magnesium and zinc. These essential ingredients or components can be derived from food. But since our body may need more than what our diet can provide, we can take supplements that contain good amounts of amino acids and minerals.

**People who have sore areas in their stomach or esophagus should avoid taking protease which can irritate areas where the mucosal lining is missing. The enzyme will treat the area like raw meat! But taking a high quality aloe to clear up the problem would be a first step. Then this enzyme can be introduced.

**The best time to take enzyme supplements for digestion is after a few bites of food so they mix in and go right to work on the food in the upper stomach.

** Adding “extra enzymes” to the metabolic pool is a good idea for those who are ill. Enzymes can be taken between meals. When taken with food, they go to work on the food. When taken in between meals they can be absorbed right into the bloodstream to work in the body.

Since one of our most basic steps to fight illness and improve health is to insure the digestive system is working correctly, a focus on getting the proper enzyme levels is crucial!

What enzymes do I take?

I take two kinds. One is the fermented soy enzymes that help the body produce metabolic enzymes. Read about Metabolic Enzymes Here

Those enzymes also are digest food, but I like to go a step further. I also take high quality digestive enzyme called Power Enzymes. It’s a plant base enzyme that contains, what you usually find in a full spectrum digestive enzyme:

Protease: Digests protein into amino acids.

Amylase: Digests complex carbohydrates.

Lipase: Digests fats and denatured fatty oils.

Cellulase: Digests fibers from soluble sources.

Sucrase: Digests complex sugars and starches.

Maltase: Digests disaccharides to monosaccharides.

Lactase: Digests lactose or dairy sugars.

Bromelain: Digests protein.

…but I guess what I like about it the most, the one thing that separates it from what you typically see at the store, is the use of essential oils (liquid copals), such as lemon, orange, peppermint, fennel, anise, and ginger. I can tell from the smell and taste, that I’m taking something pretty strong. These oils are known for assisting the digestive system and other processes in the body.

If I listened to what other sick people were saying………..

I get a lot of people (especially those in the healthcare field) say the reason I got over Lyme disease is because I’m an athlete. I think if I weren’t an athlete and I was in a doctor’s office and my healthcare providers felt this way, I would feel doomed.

The first LLMD I went to (a VERY well known one), wrote my success off during the first visit. He told me that it was “unlikely” I would go back to professional sports. I remember the dread I felt that day and how everything was ok up until he made that statement. It was crushing. In a nice way, he was kissing me off.

The truth is there are a lot of people out there with their own opinion on Lyme disease. If you find yourself ill with anything, only YOUR opinion counts. If you find “support” groups discouraging…don’t go! If you don’t like what your doctor says…leave! It’s a free country (thus far) and only the person who is ill can change his outcome.

It is kind of like having friends or family with drug problems. Only that person can make their mind up to change. You can beat them over the head with an idea, and it’s only when they accept the idea as something that is legitimate and is the truth, that they then can help themselves. Change comes from within.

Had I really taken that doctor’s opinion seriously about my own health, I would never be where I am today. I would not be a top contender in track and field, with a new coach and a new agent. I have resurrected myself in little over a year, from a 5 year FORCED break from Lyme disease. Sure, I was disappointed about what has happened and the care that I never received when I was sick. I had to make my own way, but I did it and so can you.

My feelings on recovery are this: If you’re a good student, have good discipline, have the desire inside to change everything that is making you ill and have an open mind, then there is NO REASON that you can not get healthy. NONE.

This is what I was doing this past weekend. I was making a painting for the Turn the Corner Foundation ( a Lyme charity) to be auctioned off.

I guess some people know now that I do a lot of painting. It was very therapeutic during my recovery, although it was hard to find any inspiration during those years.

There is a lot of symbolism in this painting. I was thinking about doing a big devil’s head (since we’re talking about Lyme), but I figured it wouldn’t get a bid.

What This Painting Means

The tree represents The Tree of Life (Celtic). It’s a spiritual reference as I believe having faith that you can recover is very important. It’s important to believe first and then start treatment. It also represents the stages of life, and for me, and for many people who do recover from a long battle with Lyme disease or any other autoimmune disease, it’s pretty life changing (in a good way). The disease teaches you to deal with stress better and the poison that you had in your life before is removed…only people who remove poison (whether it be people, emotions and/or different stressors) can recover. So it is a stage of life that is a lesson in itself.

The tree is seen during the different seasons. I did this because I was making a comment on how long it takes to have a good successful recovery. Most people who have chronic Lyme, will see the different seasons while they are ill. It’s also making the point to health care professionals about the time that it takes. It’s important for these people not to give up on their patients. It’s important that once they take someone on, that they have a responsibility to see that person through.

The tree is sitting on a globe, which represents how many people are affected by this disease and the spread of it worldwide.

Lastly, the girl at the bottom sitting near the tree is me. I guess it could be anyone. The reason why I chose gray is that it’s a color that fades, making it more of a background image (past tense). I’m done with the illness, but I can never forget what happened. The impression will be lasting forever.

Get Your Bid On

http://www.turnthecorner.org/content/gala-spotlight

The gala to raise money for the research of Lyme Disease. There is a silent auction. You or your friends can bid on the painting during the silent auction or you can contact them to buy the painting. I’m sure if you wanted to stick a check in their hand, they would take it. It’s a 2 feet by 3 feet painting (not small). I should also say the picture does not really do it justice. Anytime you are dealing with metallic paint, it’s very hard to see it in a photo. The snowflakes, for example, are silvery and beautiful!

This newsletter is all about enzymes, because as some of you may know enzyme research is going on everywhere for use against cancer and all sorts of autoimmune issues. In this newsletter I’ll break down food enzymes, VS ones you take for your blood health and lot of good information about people who are suffering from heart conditions.

A lot of people are familiar with Natto, a powdered form of fermented soy and are already taking digestive enzymes to digest foods better ( the typical ones like Amalayse, Protease, etc). I think you’re already ahead of the game, if you’re doing so.

One of the most interesting finds I had while recovering from Lyme disease was the use of a soy based enzyme that is in juice form. The patients of this “mountain doc” I was going to see called it Bob Juice and I heard all types of people rave about it, particularly those with chronic illness and those who already had serious heart issues. These are people who had already had stents put in, or strokes and/or heart attacks. My own amazement was watching it “cure” me of anemia in about three weeks. I can’t technically write the word cure, but you can decide for yourself once you try it. I felt the difference and I saw the proof of the difference…keep reading.

I almost dropped dead in college due to training/racing and becoming anemic in the process. My college sports doctor was careless in this matter. He was too busy prescribing Vioxx to EVERYONE who had an ache or pain to worry about anemic runners (and other anemic athletes, usually females). I don’t believe I was the only one on the team to have a problem with it either. So previously, I had taken loads of different types iron supplements, only to get constipated and anyone who has had anemia knows that it takes a long time to rebuild the storage levels so that you can start feeling normal again. It ruined me for an entire year after I found out how bad it was.

I’ve written newsletters about getting your iron checked. It doesn’t matter whether you are male or female, because it’s that important. I was able to visually see the changes in my blood under a microscope within a three week period and the results blew my mind.

This first picture is a good representation of what I was seeing using a dark field microscope. The “halo” cells are ghost cells. They are anemic cells, which basically are degenerating or fragmented erythrocyte with no hemoglobin. My ghost cells literally outnumbered the healthy ones, which was one of the reasons why I was so constantly fatigued. How can you even begin to fight Lyme, when your cells look like this? The answer is You can’t.

Well, I was sent home with this “boot leg” mixture, which was basically a very potent enzyme and mixed in was a nano form of iron. The enzyme was helping me absorb the iron rapidly, as I had tried “nano” forms before. I had luck before, but nothing like this.

Three weeks later I went back to see him and he took a look at my cells, as I knew I was feeling much better. ALL of the ghost cells were totally gone. But it wasn’t just my ghost cells, my blood sample just looked so much better.

To purchase this “Bob Juice” and to get a good discount, go here: Metabolic Enzymes

Below are two more pictures with descriptions on them. When people are sick, their blood typically has one or more of these “oddities.” Over time in our society and with our way of life and with all of us aging every day, you are going to see more and more of this, but it still doesn’t make it acceptable. Some of these conditions kill people and these pictures below represent a very common look to many people’s blood ESPECIALLY, if you’re ill.

Heart Disease- Coronary Culprit

Even if you aren’t worried about having a heart attack, read this:

There are a lot of different views on exactly how a heart attack actually starts. The current research on how this happens is first there is the accumulation of plaque until a blockage starts to form. Then the clot forms and gets caught in the plaque, and that cuts off the blood to the heart and quickly the heart stops: standard cardiac arrest caused by blood clot in the arteries that feed the heart. The name is called coronary thrombosis.

Instead of just waiting for this to happen, getting stents put in, etc. I believe, with many other doctors, that being proactive not only is going to save lives but also is going to help each individual restore their quality of life. You can’t feel good when you have all of the above blood health issues. Physicians should start looking at the blood and “cleaning it up.” Over time our arteries get inflamed because of irritation and injury and then they try to heal themselves up. Fibrin and/ or Plaque is the result. Look back up at those pictures and see the blood in a hypercoagulable state. Cholesterol is not the major reason. It’s probably more like a secondary reason!

So with heart disease and also autoimmune disease, you have a very similar correlation. It is STOPPING INFLAMMATION and CLEANING UP THE BLOOD.

And as I have said before, with autoimmune diseases each person who finds themselves with Lyme has a lot of other viruses, bacteria, pathogens of different natures and they ALL cause inflammation in the blood, so it speeds up this process of fibrin accumulating even as the lining of our arteries/veins try to heal themselves. Inflammation can also be caused by metabolism issues. That’s why I’ll go into digestive enzymes next.

Because of the hypercoagulability due to infections, metals, etc., our blood is quick to clot. It can create an a huge clot and it can break loose in the current of blood flow. These are the clots that kill people who seem to be totally healthy; even those who don’t have cholesterol issues!

I personally don’t think statins or aspirin have to be taken. Both can give you side effects. I remember my grandfather was taking about 15 of those a day by the time he was 75 and it wasn’t pretty. He was in PAIN all the time! It’s reported that NSAIDS kill around 20,000 people each year. I won’t go into the other type of medicine issues. I understand emergency situations plenty, but my newsletter is about preventing and recovering with easy solutions; ones that won’t cause side effects. Anytime you have a side effect, you should be worried, because the symptoms of side effects are VERY telling.

So what’s the hottest thing for all of the above issues that I’ve just written about? It’s the fermented enzyme juice, which is a total enzyme solution for blood health. There are a lot of different enzymes, but hands down this is the best!

Part of the fight with Lyme is getting that very evenly spaced, oxygenated blood, that microrganisms CANNOT hide in, this is what this juice does.

Saccharides and enzymes help cells communicate to each other. The product I took was made totally from soy. Yes, I’ve warned people about soy; however, taking fermented soy is okay. The soy has already gone through the process of being digested (much like human digestion) and is made into nutrients through a proprietary process. The sweetener that comes from this process is much like colostrom found in mother’s milk. There is actually NO SOY matter left over.

It helps protein molecules split, helping body’s digestion- undigested matter gets “eaten” up

It increases oxygen levels and protects you from free radicals because it raises your PH levels to more alkaline

It helps you preserve your body’s own antioxidants to be used elsewhere other than the digestive process

It provides energy directly to cells by enhancing your body’s own electromagnetic fields

Because it’s a phytonutrient, it will help mediate the communication that goes on in the trillions of cells in your body, where as poor phytonutrient molecules can result in defective cell messages and can cause immune issues. There are hundreds of examples of specific diseases/health ailments due to phytonutrient problems.

Why is this important? Because enzymes are responsible for nearly every bodily function.

If you are reading this newsletter today, consider yourself lucky and very informed!

My long lost enzymes were just recently rediscovered (literally last month), and I’m continuing on with them as my health maintenance protocol.

There are several things you can do with these enzymes.

You can take them straight up each day (I would do so about the same time I took my supplements).

I would mix them with high quality aloe!

I would even mix them with some of these super juice produces like Acai, etc.

I would put my mineral drops into my daily serving of the enzymes.

If I knew what my specific deficiency was in other types of minerals (such as Iodine, Iron, Calcium, Selenium, etc.), I would mix a liquid form of this into my enzymes.

I would mix them with my nano silver to make my silver work HARDER and actually get into my cells to be ultra effective against viruses (a newsletter in the future will be about using silver properly).

I would go get a blood test and see the difference of a BEFORE and AFTER, although I’m sure many people will notice a great effect fairly rapidly, but it’s always nice to see the proof! You can either have your doctor give you a standard blood panel and do one again in a few months on the enzymes OR you can view a live blood cell analysis under a microscope and many NDs offer this as a service.

My next newsletter will be about digestive enzymes that I was unable to squeeze that into this newsletter. I believe giving info in smaller amounts makes it easy to digest so that you can take action and apply this to your particular situation.
